Genzyme in Zaventem Genzyme Belgium NV/SA operates all sales, marketing and regulatory affairs for the Belgium/Luxembourg (Belux) region in support of Genzyme’s therapies for lysosomal storage disorders, renal disease, cancer, transplantation and immune disease. The Belux team comprises 15 people, including product specialists, medical experts, as well as administrative and business managers. The Zaventem office also houses Genzyme’s European Corporate Affairs team of seven, which handles relations with Government, Industry, patient groups, European authorities and the media. Genzyme provides a phosphate-binding polymer which helps prevent hyperphosphatemia.
